In case you missed my earlier posts, Caleb & I recently bought our dream home in Emporia, KS! You can read more about the story of how we found our home here. Today I’m SO excited to share our first home improvement project, my office!!! It all started with deciding what color to paint the walls which turned out to be way harder than I could have imagined. The room I chose for my office was the corner room on the 2nd floor with 2 nice sized windows providing wonderful natural light! The owners before us had it painted a bright yellow for their little girl’s room. You can see a before photo at the bottom of this post! I’m not a huge yellow fan ( besides our front door) so I knew before I was able to set up my office that we’d need to paint! I wanted a super light color to keep it bright and airy! I ended up going with “Drift Of Mist” by Sherwin-Williams! It turned out perfect! It has the nice cream/gray look to it! Also, one of my favorite things about my office is my pink door! All the pink in my office just makes my heart happy!

It was quite the process getting everything together and I still have some things I wanna add. Last night I added the IKEA shelves above my desk and I’m not really in love with how they’re decorated but it’ll work for now! Also, I have a cute map from Etsy I’m waiting on but I couldn’t wait any longer to share photos! It’s so fun having my photography work hanging up in my office!!! Plus our photos from Charleston to keep me dreaming of the South! Anywho, I hope you enjoy it!

Very pretty! Im considering this paint for my walls now. I love how its so subtle. What white did you use for the trim?

    February 22nd, 2018 at 5:24 pm

Thank you!! I just used the white trim paint the Sherwin Williams recommended! I’m not sure if it has an actual name?

What color are the curtains? Dusty pink or mauve? I would love these for nursery if I’m having a girl!

    I believe they’re dusty pink!!!
